This recent Saratoga Springs Lifestyle Newborn Session was pure joy—from the warm, welcoming atmosphere to the tender moments we captured together. There’s something extra special about photographing a growing family in the comfort of their own home.

This sweet family of four had just welcomed their baby boy, joining Mom, Dad, and his proud toddler big sister. Their home was absolutely charming! I loved their personal touches and style. I especially loved the baby’s vintage Moses basket bassinet—it added such a timeless, cozy feel to the images.

Big sister was absolutely smitten with her new little brother. One of my favorite moments was when she would gently point to his tiny nose and eyes. Then proudly point to her own, and even her mom’s. It was like she was teaching us all a little anatomy lesson in the cutest way possible. She had us all smiling and laughing the entire session.

The family’s outfits were perfect for a lifestyle shoot—comfortable yet beautifully coordinated. The baby looked especially darling in his soft blue romper (from H&M), which popped perfectly against the warm tones of their home.

We moved through a few different rooms. First in the living room for some cozy snuggles on the couch, then into the kitchen for candid family moments. In the bedroom, we captured sweet images of the siblings, and little detail shots of the baby. Then we spent time in the nursery—documenting the sweet and simple space they had prepared for their newest arrival.

This family made my job easy, and I couldn’t be happier with how their photos turned out.
