Motherhood Mini Session with Lilacs | Bluffdale Utah Photographer

I have been wanting to shoot a motherhood mini session with lilacs in Utah for the longest time! I am so grateful I was able to do them for this family! Their second to youngest daughter was born with Congenital CMV, and the way the other members of the family adore, and treat her is just the sweetest thing to watch! Plus, being a special needs mom myself, this session felt extra special! One of my favorite moments was when the brother surprised his younger sister with an unexpected kiss!

I also loved adding dad in for a photo during this motherhood mini session, even though he mostly there for support! The shot we got of the whole family was exceptionable because of how happy their daughter with CMV was in it! The mom told me it is rare for them to get a photo like that (and I totally understand from personal experience with my own family!), so it was a happy bonus!

The family’s outfits were on point, and perfectly complemented the greenery and lilac blossoms. I loved the creamy neutrals, and the variety of textures they had. I also could not get enough of their beautiful blue eyes! We started the session with mom and the kids, threw dad in a for a few, then did a few more of mom with the four kids sitting. We ended the session with pictures of mom and each of her kids individually, and we got the most darling shots- and we finished up right before it started to rain!
