There’s something truly magical about golden hour—the way the light wraps around a family, soft and warm, like a gentle embrace. This recent session with a beautiful family of six was no exception.

We started in an open field, where the sun dipped low behind the trees, casting a golden glow over mom, dad, their three sons, and their sweet daughter. Laughter filled the air as the kids ran through the tall grass, their energy contagious.

From there, we wandered down a tree-lined path, where dappled sunlight filtered through the leaves. The family walked hand in hand, their love and connection shining brighter than the light itself. These candid moments—the quick glances, the little giggles, the way their hands naturally found each other—are what I love most about capturing families.

As the sun dipped toward the horizon, we made our way to the shores of Utah Lake. The sky was painted in soft pastels, reflecting perfectly on the water. The family stood together, silhouetted against the glowing lake, soaking in the last moments of the day. Mom and Dad stole a quiet moment together, framed by nature’s golden light, while the kids played nearby. It was a perfect ending to a golden hour session filled with love, laughter, and memories they’ll cherish forever.
